Help me, internet.
socalledlife:
We’re having a family join us at the Trader’s lake house next weekend. Husband, wife and 2 little boys. The wife has said she will make dinner and I can take care of breakfast and lunch (she knows I’m not great in the kitchen). What do I do? I’d like to offer more than just cereal and sandwiches but I’m a. at a loss as to what to do and b. SO nervous that I’ll make something...

Project: Baby Blog: 'How We Eat' Giveaway! →
projectbabyblog:
Yay! Giveaway time! I’m really excited about this one (when am I not?).
Tinsley never took a bottle = Mama never got a break. We’re at 7+ months and still going strong, but luckily, the nursing has backed off to about 5-6 times a day and I have only one thing to thank for that:
FOOD….

Car Seats for Twins
Hands down, one of the best pieces of advice I received while pregnant with twins was to make sure to get car seats that started at 4 lbs. Most infant car seats are for babies 5 lbs. and up (to a specific weight, depending on the brand and model). You might not think that this is an important detail- whether the car seat is for a 4 or 5 pounder baby- but when you are expecting twins, there is...
I'm Back!!
This post has been a long time coming. I mean really, my beautiful, healthy babies are 7 months old already! Being a mom of two babies with their own personalities is both challenging and rewarding. I am very lucky to be a stay at home mom, but that is not to say that it is easy!
When I first found out I was expecting twins, I reached out to and spoke with all of the twin moms (and dads) I could...

Happiness is your newborn sleeping on your chest after successfully breastfeeding for the first time.
4 days left....
And my husband wants to change who the twins are named after, effectively changing both the English and Hebrew names we already chose. I don’t ever know where to begin….

Maternity Leave...
starts next Friday. I just told my boss that next Friday will be my last day of work. I will be 30 weeks. I know its a little early, but the prolonged sitting of my job is causing swelling and the rib pain. Plus, I am currently carrying over 6 lbs of baby. (Baby A weighs 2 lbs, 15 oz and Baby B weighs 3 lbs, 6 oz).
I feel like a humongous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Ahhhh,...

Goodbye Snow
Currently sitting on the runway waiting for our de-iced plane to take off to the Caribbean for a few days of sun. Did not expect to wake up to a blizzard, but miraculously we made it to the airport safely and on time. PHL was a ghost town, but that’s how I prefer it!
So glad to be missing part 2 of this storm. If we ever take off, that is!

iPad, aka belated birthday gift
Last Thursday my husband came home bearing gifts— an iPhone4 and and iPad!! I was thrilled about both new electronics, especially the iPad because now I can go online at home on a larger scale than the iphone, since my husband is ALWAYS on the laptop… Anyway, I am dying to fill up my iPad with awesome apps. I need some suggestions though. What apps do you love/can’t live...
23 weeks 1 day
10 hour workdays are no longer my friend. Actually, now that I think about it, they never were my friend, but they were more tolerable. Now they just contribute to my cankles.
Question for the Mamas and Mamas-to-be:
What brand crib do you have and would you recommend it?

Thoughts
We went through a lot to get to where we are today. Our relationship never faltered. It only brought us closer together. We have always been aware of the strength of our bond (and going through the wedding planning process proved it) but we learned that we are so much stronger than we ever imagined. I am proud of the way we stuck together, through many difficult days, weeks, months, and yes,...
Ouch
I feel like my ribs are broken. The underwire of my bra is killing me and I seriously feel like my ribs are moving to make room for babies. Anyone else out there experienced this?

-When do I start injections in my cycle generally?
Generally bfetween days 2-5 (if day 1 is the first day of AF). e were successful by starting Lupron while in the last week of BCPs.
-How often can I expect to go in for ultrasounds and bloodwork?
You need a baseline ultrasound and bloodwork before starting, and then once you start the injections, you will need to be seen at regular...

Martha Stewart's Classic Cheese Lasagna-- Make it. →
Since I am obsessed with cheese, it is only natural that I’ve been dreaming of ways to cook with cheese. Two weeks ago, I was craving lasagna after watching a cooking show on TV. I bought the ingredients, but by the time I got home from the store, I was too tired to start the labor-intensive lasagna making process.
Last night the stars aligned to create the most delicious and easy...

17 weeks. 10 lbs.
As of this morning, I now weigh 128 lbs. This means that I have officially gained 10 lbs. in this pregnancy. It also means that I have officially gained 20 lbs since I first started TTC in June 2008. (I mentioned before that like Giuiliana Rancic, I was told to gain 10 lbs to help my body start ovulating on its own. It didn’t work).
I feel like I am gaining weight so rapidly (hello, 1.5...
